My first awarenss of music as an object
of popular culture came around the age of 10 when I adored the soundtrack of the movie "The Music Man".  By age 12 I was listening to the Four Seasons, Bobby Vee and Gene Pitney but soon a group would arrive on the scene that would change the face of music and perhaps the world forever---
The Beatles.
I was very much into all the "British Invasion" groups but by 1966 as the psychedelic scene began to bloom the bands of San Fransisco took over my senses.
The year 1970 was a pivotal one for me and typifies the music I loved and still love best. My musical tastes cover a wide range of genre today from the mellow singer-songwriters to hard rock/metal to
indie to trance & celtic to classical & new age.
